Headers & Platforms
Looking for improvements on your combine header? Check out our most valuable and high quality products to enhance your harvesting experience.
Knives & Cutterbar Kits
Reduce fuel consumption, wear and most importantly losses on your combine with a sharp set of knives. You can choose between a wide portfolio of knive specifactions and between single sections, segments or cutterbar kits.
Save money with cutterbar segments
Complete Kit not needed? Only one segment of the cutterbar is damaged? Save money ordering only the needed segments instead of a complete kit. Contact your dealer to inform yourself about the right cutterbar segment fitting your machine.
Knife Guards
Reduce power and fuel needs, and increase cutting quality and belt life with properly serviced original John Deere knife guards, featuring superior wear characteristics due to the special surface treatment we apply.
Why to replace a knife guard?
Replacing a knife but not a guard is like sharpening just one side of your scissors. The knife guard is critical for the cutting quality of the platform. A sharp set of knives combined with fresh guards ensures a minimum need of cutting force which leads to lower fuel consumption and less wear on the platforms mechanical components.
Crop Lifters
Crop lifters ensure that laying crops are effectively picked up, increase the performance in down-crop situations and prevent damage to the cutterbar. Replace the crop lifters once they are bent or damaged.
Auger Finger Sets
Original John Deere Auger Fingers feature zone hardening and high elasticity so that they can withstand heavier stress levels without deforming or breaking. They improve feeding and enable higher harvesting speeds.
Inspect Auger Fingers
Replace auger fingers when they are broken, missing or show excessive wear. Worn auger fingers cause poor feeding, reduce ground speed and increase the risk of internal auger damages which can result in high repair cost. John Deere auger fingers are hardened so they can handle heavy loads, stones an foreign objects to prevent such damages.
Reel Tines
Original reel tines gently deliver crop from the cutterbar to the platform auger. They are available in either plastic or spring steel.
Know Your Tines: Steel vs. Composite
Steel tines reduce material buildup between the end of the reel and the crop divider, as there is more active material movement. They improve feeding in short or down-crop. Composite tines reduce crop wrapping and snagging. They can also increase uptime through a unique, high-strength, poly reel finger that provides 35 percent more stiffness.
